Uncovering Twilight Series

Twilight Saga is a series of vampire themed romance novels written by Stephanie Meyer. It consists of four books namely twilight, new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn. Twilight series falls under the genre of fantasy and romance. The series evolves in the unorthodox romance between a human and a vampire with a twist of love triangle. The main characters of the book are Bella Swan, Edward Cullen (vampire) and Jacob Black (werewolf). Because of the good story, the book was made into a movie making and it as one of the most sensational movies of the year.

The book is written using a first person narrative, through the eyes of Bella Swan. However in the fourth book the section is divided in the narration of Bella Swan and Jacob Black. According to the author, the book is inspired by life not death and love not lust. Stephanie Meyer believes that since the targeted audience of her books is teens, she does not want to expose them in things such as lust and death.

Stephanie Meyer defines her vampire in twilight series differently. For instance twilight vampire glitters in the sun instead of burned, they have piercing teeth instead of fangs and they can also drink animal's blood. Twilight series was first released in 2005 and has gained so much popularity up until now. The books won many awards such as the 2008 British book award for children's book of the year and 2009 kids' book of choice of the year.

As of today the first three books are already released as a motion picture under Summit Entertainment. The last book breaking dawn will be shown on the big screen this year.

Twilight Saga 101

The film twilight saga is divided into four parts, twilight, new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn. The main characters in the novel are Bella Swan the human and Edward Cullen the vampire. This is a love story about the romance and forbidden love of a human and a vampire.

Twilight
Bella Swan is from Phoenix Arizona who moved to Fork Washington to join her father and also to give way to her mother who is planning to travel with her new husband. In forks Bella meet the elusive Cullen family. Bella was involuntary drawn to the charisma and mysterious personality of Edward. During the course of the story Bella learns that Edwards and his family are vampires. Nevertheless that did not hinder Bella and Edward from falling in love. The story was antagonized by another vampire coven under the leadership of James. Edward together with his family defends Bella from James who is trying to kill her.

New Moon
Edward and his family left Forks without any traces because they believe that they are putting Bella's life in danger. After finding out that the Cullens were leaving, Bella falls into a deep depression. During this time Bella forms a strong friendship with Jacob to cure her depression. Bella discovers that Jacob belongs to shape shifter wolves who are trying to protect their land from vampires. On the other hand Victoria, James's mate is seeking to avenge the death of her mate by killing Bella. Misunderstanding occurs and Edward believes that Bella is dead. Edwards decided to end his life in Italy. They were able to meet the Volturi, a very powerful coven. Edward and Bella were released in a condition that Bella would be transformed to a vampire in the near future.

Eclipse
Eclipse is a story of how the Cullens and the wolves save the life of Bella against Victoria. In her desire to kill Bella, Victoria created an army of newborn vampires whose goal is to kill Bella.

Breaking dawn
Bella and Edward got married. During their honeymoon Bella finds out that she got pregnant. Her pregnancy is progressing rapidly than normal causing her to become very weak. She nearly died while giving birth to her half vampire half human daughter Renesmee. Accidentally a vampire that belongs to another coven mistakenly identifies Renesmee as an "immortal child". She hastily informs that Volturi to enforce the vampire law which is to kill all immortal children. The Cullens together with the other vampire witnesses attest that Renesmee is no danger to their secret.
